There is an ingenious Android app that makes creating your own mobile ringtones into a fun and easy process using a mobile music maker.

The app allows you to make ringtones from songs in your mobile library in a much more creative way than the usual "slice-and-serve" approach. There are also some handy iPhone apps that allow you to easily make ringtones. Choosing the right start and stop times for the ringtones with these apps can be frustrating and time consuming, but even more trying is the process of transferring your newly created selection to iTunes and then back to your computer as a ringtone. The apps do provide good instructions, though, which if followed correctly will help you get the hang of the process. Once you do, you should find that these apps are a convenient way to ready ringtones for your phone while you're away from your computer.
