In case you haven't checked out tablets yet, they're great! In terms of portability of your music, especially if videos and/or downloading for music are your thing, the tablet's screen is much bigger than smaller music devices, but the tablet isn't as heavy as your laptop. So managing and enjoying your music is enhanced. You may even be inspired to expand your browsing into genres not yet included in your music library. You can also access your social media with better visibility and ease, and again, without the bulk or weight of a laptop. A tablet is as sleek as a magazine and is extremely versatile. Throw in being able to take photos and videos, and even stand it up so the screen is upright, and you have yourself a veritable media center that you can take with you wherever you like, around the house, in the garden, or out and about with you, not to mention when you're traveling. The ability to stand it up on its own is nice for reading or watching whatever you've got playing.

Another Dimension for Music Portability!

A good illustration of the all-around versatility of a tablet is this video with Fatsarazzi, which features the Samsung Galaxy Tab, for example. It's inspiring to see the ease of use and how it allows someone to integrate the different forms of their work. The instantaneous availability of photos and videos, for example, is a liberating feature…no need to download from a camera in order to share. So a tablet adds a great dimension to the portability of not only your music library but so many of your other media resources and creations.
